Regularly people ask me the same questions such as : When did I start to make natural cosmetics? When did I made my very first cream? When did love for cosmetics started? In todays post, I will share with you the recipe for the first face mask I remember. I call this mask “Zlata’s mask” and until the end of this post you will understand why.
When I was a little girl, very often I was spending my time in theater, to be precise in the Yugoslav Drama Theater in Belgrade. My mother’s ant, Iva Matic Krkobabic was working there and she got me into this wonderful World of art. I still remember, staff entrees, reception desk, well known smell, stairs and the final destination, the sewing office, next to the makeup studio. The sewing office had two rooms, in the first one were lots of sewing machines and the second one, among all other things, had one big table. Under this table was my “bunker”. While I was waiting for Iva to finish her job, I was sitting there and a lots of people were coming in and out, a lots of really beautiful ladies, they said to me that they were our famous actors. All of them were beautiful and elegant. One day, among all the other stars, SHE came. For me, she was the most beautiful women I have ever seen in my life and she became the biggest star in my life. She was the famous Yugoslav actor Zlata Petovic. The moment I saw her, it was one of those moments when little girls are without breath. “How beautiful she is”, I was thinking and while I was watching her with the eyes of the child, on my sky she became the biggest and the most shiny of all stars. From this moment, I was living to see her, to hear her voice. No one became biger than she was in my eyes.
I was often asking myself the same question, how come someone can be so beautiful? One day, while she was trying her stage costume, ladies started to speak about face masks and during this conversation, Zlata told about the beauty mask she used and which is in her opinion the best mask ever, a very efficient one. I remember,my reaction was: “That is it, now I know. I will be as beautiful as Zlata”. Even before this, cosmetic was important in my life but this mask was one of those that is carved deep into my memory.
Cucumber and yogurt face mask.
In a bowl put some yoghourt and add several drops of lemon juice. Wash a cucumber and slice it really thin. Dip the slices in the yoghourt and put on a clean face, neck and cleavage avoiding the area around your eyes. Leave this mask at least for a 15 minutes. In case you have more time, you may leave it longer.
This mask, I have tried many times is possibly the mask I used the most. You will see the results immediately.
